Coca-Cola COKE TIME 45rpm Eddie Fisher TV Show 1957 RCA Victor Disneyland intrst
Classic Coca-Cola Auctions by Saturday's Toys presents...
an original 45rpm single from Eddie Fisher and his "Coke Time with Eddie Fisher" television program on NBC.
The record was offered by Coca Cola in January 1957 (this record jacket is hand-dated dated Feb 11, 1957) and made available for 25 cents and an "order by mail" form found on Coke products.  The following month, this 15-minute broadcast came to an end with a dispute between Coca-Cola and local bottlers opposed to carrying Coke's new size of soft drink bottles.  When Fisher's NBC program returned to the air as "The Eddie Fisher Show" (October 1957), the Coca-Cola sponsorship was dropped.  As such, these records were distributed only for a very brief time.
This classic record was manufactured by RCA Victor and features songs from Fischer's "Coke Time" program.  Includes "Drink Coca-Cola" and "The Pause That Refreshes"... along with six of Fisher's musical numbers.
During this era, Eddie Fisher and his wife, Debbie Reynolds, were guests at Disneyland as they were photographed at Coke Corner (now known as "Refreshment Corner" in an attempt to separate the location from a specific food service brand) on Main Street, U.S.A.  Currently, Coca-Cola remains one of the few remaining corporate sponsors at Disneyland since opening day in 1955.
Paper sleeve is in good condition and vinyl appears to be in good condition overall.

    Saturday’s Toys and Disneyana Auctions
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and Disney historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first Disneyana specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 10,000 coveted Disney treasures since then, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers, collectors and friends throughout the world with a shared interest in the preservation of authentic and accurate Disney history.
Today, online offerings of archival Disneyana keepsakes are presented in celebration of the extended times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately known as "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a tip of the cap to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
